INTELLIGENT, AUTONOMOUS, & ELECTRIFIED CORRIDORS

Intelligent Infrastructure will release the Productivity Impact of Automated and Autonomous Systems

Autonomy is the next industrial revolution. It requires the bridging of the physical and the digital world with Intelligent Infrastructure. The convergence of Edge Computing, NextG wireless, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Assured Position Navigation and Timing, and resilient electrical grids are widely seen as the technologies that build that bridge. This next-generation infrastructure will enable the Digital and Autonomous World and drive the next trillion-dollar economic expansion. This infrastructure will create Highways and Byways in order to support more efficient mobility, automated city services, autonomous cars and trucks, autonomous shuttles, air taxis, inspection drones, many intelligent city applications, and major automation of ports. Autonomy will also include a background of devices that largely remain unnoticed as they perform routine activities.

In recent years it has become clear that the nation that is first to cross the chasm with autonomy will lead the next few decades of innovation and productivity gains they provide. We share many of the most innovative CEOs’ perspectives that autonomy is the “Mother of all AI” and one that will deliver the largest productivity gain in world history. Just as we saw with the impact of automation and robotics in our factories, we will see massive job creation and economic growth with autonomous systems deployed within the open world around us. Time to lead and build the Intelligent Infrastructure. It will drive a massive resurgence of manufacturing, engineering, construction, installation, programming, and jobs of the future.

We are seeing more technologies push for densified deployments down highways, within cities, and communities across the state. Time to Build Intelligent Infrastructure across our nation.

Releasing the Productivity Impact of Automated Systems

The Interstate Highway “1955 Yellow Book Maps” created scars across our nation, this new Intelligent Infrastructure will create unified communities. We see a bulk share of the dollars coming from private industry.

The Birth of Intelligent and Autonomous Systems

There was a moment of time that for rail, for electricity, for communications, for aviation, for interstate highways, for the internet, for the cloud, . . . . . . . and now for the Intelligent Edge Infrastructure that will be the foundation for Industry 4.0. Electrified mobility, resilient electricity, additive manufacturing, autonomous systems, aerospace taking us to mars, intelligent and autonomous corridors, and unlimited bandwidth to anyone that wants to consume it.

Intelligent Infrastructure will drive the largest infrastructure buildout in our nation’s history. Intelligent Infrastructure will be deployed across cities, highways, campuses, commercial developments, shipping ports, airports, and even private communities. Here are some of the current projects and programs under development now.

Intelligent, Autonomous, and Electrified Corridors.
Weekly meeting to help build a coalition of leaders, discuss strategy and push forward a few tactical projects that align with our collective interests.

“Investment in a 21st-century Intelligent & Autonomous Infrastructure is among the highest priorities for stimulating economic expansion, national security, and job growth. Edge computing, 5G wireless, Intelligent Transportation Systems, RESILIENT APNT, and resilient electrical grids will drive the largest infrastructure buildout in our nation’s history.”

United States leadership and ARPA-I Program Launch

Texas is leading the nation with Industry 4.0 solutions.
I-45 will be another Intelligent, Autonomous, and Electrified Corridor in the state of Texas.

Intelligent, autonomous, and electrified infrastructure is the equivalent of the atomic energy race of the 1940s. National sovereignty and global productivity will go to the nation that deploys the Intelligent Infrastructure supporting Industry 4.0. Unleashing the largest productivity boom in world history: intelligent cities, automated construction, autonomous mobility, infrastructure management, etc.

Federal agencies have developed programs that will help advance the commercial industry with unified standards and operational systems. United States Department of Transportation has developed programs like CARMA, VOICES and is advancing critical services like Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing. NASA has the AAM programs and developed EVAA and Icarous. The FAA has created the Beyond program. DOE and NREL are working on establishing a resilient grid with programs like the Autonomous Grid. The National Science Foundation and DARPA are helping the United States develop an Autonomous Spectrum through the RINGS and DARPA Spectrum Programs.
