NSF - MID-SCALE RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURE PINN - NATIONAL INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE Overview to share: The NSF requested the full proposal for the $80+ million PINN supporting Autonomy. See attached. Now it will require a very detailed proposal that gets into specific models, costs, construction, installation, etc. With the announcement of the ARPA-I program by the USDOT, we are looking for this to be a lead project. We have the University of Texas at Austin, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Georgia Tech, Purdue University and North Carolina State engaged. The interview between Dr. Hampshire and Secretary Buttigieg hit on several of the benefits of Intelligent Infrastructure. The Interstate Highway "1955 Yellow Book Maps" created scars across our nation, this new Intelligent Infrastructure will create unified communities. We see a bulk [...]

TMD Camp Mabry Intelligent Infrastructure GRID TMD Camp Mabry is supporting the first Intelligent Infrastructure Grid of PINNs. They will help advance the use of intelligent and autonomous systems for protecting our communities and providing resilience in Texas as well as the Nation. Public-Private Partnerships will accelerate our national priorities and how Intelligent Infrastructure enables Resilient Cities & Bases. The Autonomy Institute will be providing the best intelligent and automated platforms to the brave men and women that protect our country. INDUSTRY 4.0 - 21st-Century Intelligent Infrastructure National Priority to meet the demand for NextG, Edge, ITS, APNT, Grid Mabry will be the “Genesis” of national edge deployments. Lab will be the accelerator to $100+ million P3 Programs Create Industry 4.0 jobs, economic impact, and national leadership [...]

Public Infrastructure Network Nodes (PINN)

By |July 18th, 2021|Categories: Active, Uncategorized|

INDUSTRY 4.0 REQUIRES INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE Investment in a 21st-century Intelligent & Autonomous Infrastructure is among the highest priorities for stimulating economic and job growth. Creating Highways and Byways for the Digital and Autonomous World. Edge computing, NextG wireless, autonomous cars, delivery drones, autonomous shuttles, inspection drones, and trucks, air taxis, etc., all need to be part of, and to share, a common infrastructure. Local governments are struggling today with permitting disparate systems that need to be a single open and intelligent infrastructure. The integration process is ready for a jump start. The country that does this well first will likely capture the preponderance of the economic benefit. Intelligent Infrastructure (the foundation of ARPA-I) goes well beyond transportation and will be the brains of our economy. Providing advanced city services, [...]

RESILIENT ELECTRICAL GRIDS

ROBUST & RESILIENT ELECTRICAL GRIDS Infrastructure is our First Order Priority Norm Anderson, Chairman and CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE For the security, sovereignty, and growth of our country we need to change the perspective we have on energy. There are ZERO solutions to the global climate challenges that does not include a "Massive Increase" in power demand. Yes we need to go GREEN, but we need to make sure we become overly abundant in energy production and storage. A mantra of going green and conserve will lead to substantial and detrimental impacts to our country. “The … ultimate purpose of life, mind, and human striving: to deploy energy and information to fight back the tide of entropy and carve out [...]

Ports using Intelligent, Autonomous, and Electrified Infrastructure

By |April 26th, 2021|Categories: Autonomy Infrastructure, Intelligent Infrastructure, Autonomous Corridors, Active|

Intelligent, Autonomous, and Electrified Ports Port automation is driven on a digital twin baseline. Areas like ports are looking to increase efficiencies through new technologies today and add autonomous vehicles in the future. A digital twin can reside on platforms for coordinating various manned and autonomous systems like trucks, drones, shuttles, and robots. Now operations can work seamlessly and simply adopt new technologies and functionalities. Other use cases span from orchestration layers that unite autonomous tasks with business processes such as requesting, routing, or scheduling. The added automation to workflows increase efficiencies and overall cost effectiveness to facility management and operational insights. A port-wide digital twin could further enable automated inspection of facilities, operational and security viewports, multimodal optimizations, enhance vision and asset insight, and resilient localization.
